PESCA SUR: The fishing industry´s celebration PESCA SUR is held in March every odd year in the city of Concepción, Bío Bío Region, Chile, where most of the fishing companies dedicated to the extractive activity and to product processing, faithfully represent a sector that, during the year 2007 reached exports of USS 3,800 million, where aquaculture is included. Distributed in about 200 stands, suppliers of machinery, equipment and solutions for the fishing industry show the technological developments that have taken place since the previous version. This event offers participants the chance to detect and seize business opportunities as most businessmen, investors, authorities, financial entities, professionals and technicians who recommend or have anything to do with decisions about new purchases, and who also attend the fair. The participation of approximately 450 companies from over 40 countries reflects the interest in doing business in Chile, in 6,600 square meters of exhibition.
